Highlights
It’s now possible for care team members to review consent documents that are returned and signed.
When reviewing a document, one can Void the signature, Accept the document, or Request Amendments.
Requesting Amendments invalidates all signatures (because the document is going to change, everyone needs to be informed and re-sign) and generates the document again. It copies over anything that’s already completed so that nobody needs to fill anything out again - just correct what’s wrong.
When you choose Request Amendment, you’re asked to provide a comment. This is shown to the patient in-app.
There is no limit on the number to times you can send a document back to a patient.
Can I make reviews an automatic part of my workflow?
Yes, you can automatically assign reviews to a team. You might ask that every cryo form is reviewed by the embryology team, for example.
Navigate to Settings → Consent documents
Find the document you want to configure to generate a review task
Enable “Require review” and select the team or individual.
Once enabled, every time this document is signed it will have a Review attached and a task will be assigned.
Who can review a document?
Anyone can initiate a review and request amendments, at any time.
If you’re assigned, you can re-assign the task to someone else, or another team.
The individual who completes the review gets recorded as the reviewer (never a team).
Where’s the history?
Even though we invalidate the signature, we keep the history of signed documents in Files → Consents. When a new consent comes back with new signatures, we add the new document. We don’t delete anything.
