wawa fertility operates as a data processor for the personal data processed within our platform. The data controller for this personal data is the fertility clinic that you are associated with. For inquiries related to data protection or your personal data, please contact your clinic directly using the contact details provided.

As a data processor, we collect and process personal data that is provided to us by fertility clinics and their patients using our platform. This data may include, but is not limited to:
Clinic-related information
Patient identification details
Medical and treatment data
User-generated content
4. Purpose of Data Processing
The personal data is processed to facilitate the functionality of our platform and to provide support for fertility clinics and their patients. This includes but is not limited to:
Management of clinic appointments and treatment processes
Tailoring content relevant to the patient's treatment progress
Providing an overview of medication during the treatment process
Offering information about treatment phases
Medication and appointment reminders based on patient data
Please note that wawa fertility cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of medication reminders or notifications.
5. Legal Basis for Data Processing
The legal basis for processing personal data in our platform is consent, in accordance with Article 9(2)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as Article 6(1)(a). Consent is obtained through the fertility clinic and via the onboarding in the app, and patients must agree to the consent form to use the platform.
6. Data Sources
All data within the platform is provided by fertility clinics and their patients. We do not collect data independently.
7. Data Sharing and Recipients
We use external suppliers to host our server and store information. These suppliers have entered into data processing agreements with us in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR. In default settings, data is only accessible to authorised users, including the clinic and wawa fertility.
8. Your Rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
Right of access: You can request details about the personal data we hold about you
Right of rectification: You can request corrections to inaccurate data.
Right of erasure: You can request the deletion of your data, subject to certain exceptions.

We retain personal data for as long as the fertility clinic and patients use our platform. Upon discontinuation, we will delete personal information, unless legal requirements dictate otherwise or it's necessary for legal claims.

We take data security seriously. We employ appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard data against unauthorised access, destruction, alteration, or misuse. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised users.
