A great way to counteract stress and pressure is by boosting your well-being. It sounds very simple. However, it works best if you practise a bit daily. The key is to do more of what makes you feel good and comfortable to lower your stress levels. This balances and calms your nervous system as you experience pleasure and joy.
You may feel like your entire life has been put on hold for a very long time. You may have completely forgotten what used to make you happy or what you used to enjoy doing. If this is how you feel, you need to explore some things that have been put on the back burner because fertility treatment has taken all your energy and focus.
It is often the little things that can give a sense of well-being. It can be anything from a delicious meal to a relaxing hot bath or a walk. Anything that makes you feel content and happy - make it a daily habit to incorporate some of these things into your day.
